चर्खण्डी महादेव मन्दिर सूर्यविनायक नगरपालिकाको दधिकोट र सिरुटारको बीचमा अवस्थित एक अद्वितीय धार्मिक र ऐतिहासिक तीर्थस्थल हो। लगभग २४०० मिटरको उचाइमा रहेको यो शान्त स्थललाई ऐतिहासिक, पुरातात्विक र धार्मिक महत्वको सम्पदा मानिन्छ। 'पानीमाथिको मन्दिर' को नामले पनि प्रख्यात यो मन्दिर प्यागोडा शैलीमा निर्माण गरिएको छ। कोखा गङ्गा र पद्म गङ्गा नदीहरू दधिकोटबाट उत्पन्न भई यहाँ संगम (दोभान) बनाउँछन्, जहाँबाट चर्खण्डी नदीको उत्पत्ति हुन्छ। यो नदी उत्तरतर्फ (पवित्र दिशा मानिने) बग्ने भएकाले यस क्षेत्रमा अन्तिम संस्कार (घाट) गरिन्छ। यहाँ लिच्छवि कालभन्दा पनि पुरानो मानिने एक ढुङ्गामा कुँदिएको शिलालेख र एक प्राचीन कुण्ड समेत रहेका छन् जसले यस स्थलको महत्त्वलाई थप बढाएको छ। तीर्थयात्री, प्रकृति प्रेमी र अनुसन्धानकर्ताहरूका लागि यो एक महत्वपूर्ण गन्तव्य हो।

How to Reach
Charkhandi Mahadev Temple is situated about 15 kilometers away from the main urban area of Bhaktapur. It can be reached via the Suryabinayak-Dadhikot road. After driving past the uphill section of Dadhikot using private or public transportation, a path leading to the temple is found near the border of Sirutar. It is also a beautiful and serene destination for trekking.
Nearby Amenities
Since the temple area is a serene pilgrimage site, large hotels and restaurants are not available here. However, local tea shops and small eateries are available in the nearby Dadhikot and Sirutar market areas. Basic necessities can be acquired from local shops. Standard accommodation and dining facilities are plentiful in Bhaktapur city.
