आशापुरी महादेव मन्दिर, जसलाई आशापुरेश्वर महादेव पनि भनिन्छ, भगवान शिवलाई समर्पित एक पूजनीय हिन्दू तीर्थस्थल हो। सूर्यविनायक नगरपालिकाको क्षेत्राधिकारमा पर्ने यो मन्दिर काठमाडौं उपत्यकाको पूर्वी भागमा एउटा डाँडाको टुप्पोमा अवस्थित छ। 'आशापुरी' नामको शाब्दिक अर्थ "इच्छाहरू (आशा) पूरा हुने ठाउँ (पुरी)" हो। मन्दिर वरपर घना हरियो जङ्गलले घेरिएको छ र यो पूजा तथा ध्यानका लागि एक शान्त वातावरण प्रदान गर्दछ। यहाँ एक प्रतिष्ठित शिवलिङ्ग स्थापना गरिएको छ र भक्तजनहरू यस मन्दिरको दर्शन गर्दा आफ्ना मनोकामना पूरा हुने विश्वास राख्छन्। यसको प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्य र नजिकैको प्राकृतिक पानीको मूलको आवाजले गर्दा यो तीर्थयात्री र प्रकृति प्रेमीहरूका लागि एक लोकप्रिय गन्तव्य बनेको छ। विशेषगरी श्रावण महिनामा (जुलाई/अगस्ट) यहाँ ठूलो मेला लाग्ने गर्दछ।

How to Reach
The temple is accessible via a short hike from the nearest road point in Suryabinayak Ward No. 8. From Kathmandu, one can take a public bus or taxi to the Suryabinayak area, and then proceed to the base of the hill near the temple access road. The final section requires walking through a picturesque forested trail, which takes approximately 30-45 minutes depending on the pace.

Basic tea shops and small rest areas are available near the temple premises, especially on days with high pilgrim traffic. Larger restaurants, lodging facilities, and essential services are easily found in the main Suryabinayak and Bhaktapur areas, which are about 3-5 km away.
